Seminar Groups.

Sustained, research-led online discussion across the sciences of intelligence; the regular form of conversation that conferences, by their nature, cannot supply.

An audience attending a seminar session.

Seminar Groups are, in our view, the form of academic exchange that conferences cannot supply. Conferences are intense and finite; the groups, by contrast, are designed for continuity. Ideas, on closer inspection, require both: a meeting at which they are announced and a regular interval at which they are tested.

The groups convene online, on a regular schedule, in small sessions. Curation balances technical depth with interdisciplinary accessibility. The setting is one in which researchers, students, and practitioners may present work in progress, explore open problems and engage in the technically grounded, methodologically careful dialogue by which, in our experience, a scientific community holds itself together.

Pathways

How participation tends to deepen.

Ambassadors may, where the local setting allows, organise viewing groups and convene the seminars within their own institutions. Sustained contribution to the Seminar Groups is, in our experience, one of the more reliable routes to the invitation-only Fellowship, which carries access to private seminars and direct correspondence with speakers.
